1. Who we are
Alpha Source (alphasourcestore.us) is an independent review website. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
- Link-click records. When you click a buy link that starts with
/go/, we record the click: time, the link, IP address, an approximate country and city derived from the IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring page and whether the visitor looks like a bot. We use this to see which reviews are useful and to reconcile affiliate commissions. - Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply to you.
We do not have user accounts, comments or a newsletter, so we do not collect that information.
3. Cookies and third parties
- Our site. We do not set cookies and we do not load analytics, advertising or other third-party scripts on our pages.
- Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitor requests (including IP addresses) to provide content delivery and security, and may use its own security cookies.
- Merchants and affiliate networks. After you click a buy link you leave this site. The merchant and the affiliate network may set cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
4. How we use data
To operate and secure the site, understand which content is useful, track affiliate clicks and commissions, answer your messages and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Legal basis (EEA and UK)
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests (running a secure site, measuring which content is useful, tracking affiliate performance) and, for messages you send us, on taking steps to answer you.
6. Retention
Web-server logs are rotated and kept for up to about 12 months. Link-click records are kept for as long as needed for statistics and commission reconciliation. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including to know what we collect and to request deletion. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and because click records are tied to an IP address, you may need to tell us the approximate time and the link you clicked.
8. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure and service providers (including Cloudflare) may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
